I read here that this would be a place to have excellent pizza. Well, it was quite nice but nothing special. I was expecting a lot more. Music and wine were good though. I can't understand why this is so high on the restaurants list, even if compared to price.
I'm not saying this is bad place but it's way...

My daughter and I raced into Capizzi's as our last stop on what had been a whirlwind 4 day trip to New York. We had 1/2 an hour before our car was leaving for the airport and we were determined to have a quick bite at this pizza restaurant about which we'd heard so many great things. Our expectations were...

While in the elevator another couple and the bellhop highly recommended Capizzi's to us. We had been in New York for over a week and were looking for New York pizza and a quiet atmosphere. When we walked in there were 4 or 5 tables occupied. The cook saw us entered and waved us to a table. The bus boy...

We visited Capizzi at the recommendation of our bellhop from the Stay Bridge Hotel! He told us Joe's ingredients are imported from Italy and we couldn't find a better pizza in NY. He was right! The food was delicious and, even better, the atmosphere and service was fun! The music was a hit with us, the furnishings were nostalgic, and...

On our trip to NYC my husband and I were on a quest to find the best pizza in the city. Unfortunately, Capizzi's didn't win the award despite the brick oven experience.
After all day walking around the city we were ready for a filling lunch. Upon walking in the door we noticed a sign that said 'Cash only' which...

The pizza really was great. In fact, our family ate there 3 times on our 1 week trip to New York. The pizza tasted as if the ingredients were all very fresh. It was nice and thin and cooked in a brick oven. I wish I had one right now!! We have eaten pizza from all over the world and...

Went to this pizza place after checking out trip advisor with my wife and 3 boys and we are all in complete agreement that this was the best pizza we have ever had. We had a great welcome off Joe the owner and the staff who made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was just what you wanted from an...

Visited this restaurant in April '11 due to high rating on tripadvisor. Lovely small place with bags of character and good service. However, pizzas were average and nowhere near justify the price. Visited NYC for 5 days with family and it wasn't even the best pizza we had while we were there. There is no reason not to go but...

Went to this place with my family. Good location little hole in the wall place. Menu is very simple and the service was good. We ordered the sicilian eggplant pizza which was quite good but for a large was a little small and not quite worth the $26.00. All told for a family of 4 we left a little under...

Was in Italy when young and will never forget the pizza there. Hadn't had pizza that good since, but had it last night at Capizzi. Unique, quiet and delicious food!
