We've eaten here twice in the last 6 months. Head about the place from a local. This was an old mom-and-pop motel, about 3-4 miles from Colonial area, that has been converted into a restaurant. I'd call funky. Has a carrot-themed decor that some will find cute and others will say is over the top. Nothing fancy here at all,...

A little drive from Williamsburg. In an old motel with decor that may not be for everyone. A little cutsy but we loved it. Very laid back and cozy. Service was friendly and efficient. Tomato soup was great as was the pimento cheese. Wife had a turkey sandwich which she rote down the receipe for. And don't leave without dessert....

Yes, as others have said, this place is a bit of a curiosity. Small, homey, a little funky. Often used by locals for take-home desserts (best brownies and chocolate cake ever!), country ham biscuits, quiche, lots of things. Lunch is good, great sandwiches, place is always full then. But really CT, your coffee leaves a lot to be desired. With...

My wife and I ate lunch here on Oct 2nd. We enjoyed our meal and the hospitality. We were served by two wonderful ladies, one originally from Berlin, Germany and the other from Russia. They both were very friendly and helpful. It was a great meal and experience.

We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The sandwiches are great. It is a great local spot to relax and have lunch. We like the cake so much we got our wedding cake from here! Needless to say, you should try the desserts. The atmosphere is a bit kitchy with bright lime green walls and it...

The place is very small, but the food is good, and desserts are awesome. We ate at both locations.

Where do I start - you need to go to this restaurant. Nestled into an old motel this funky little spot is more for the locals and those in the know then tourists, its definately not on the main drag so whip out the map and find your way there. We were tipped off by reviews here and this restaurant...

We went to Carrot Tree on our first day and had high expectations because of all the great reviews. It surpassed them and then some!! The service was excellent and so was the food. We ordered quiche, which was fantastic, we had the soup of the day, which was also delicious, and not to mention the TO DIE FOR carrot...

Stopped here for lunch on our first day in Williamsburg (it was just down the street from the Powhatan Resort). The food was good...tasted homemade. The place was spacious and kid-friendly, and service was good. It had kind of a hippie feel to it. We weren't crazy about the cupcake, but the little almond cake was excellent.
