Bolla was very different from typical Dallas dining. Patrons are encourage to order multiple courses of smaller entrees, and while we could have sped things up, we had a nice romantic dinner of just under 2 hours. Our waiter was very good, and he encouraged us to do 3-4 courses. I did 3, including desert, and that was plenty for...

My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary there last evening. It was a memorable meal.
I started with the lump crab with Jicama melon salad, which was very good, a nice summer meal.
My wife had the fixed prix, with 4 courses, which was an excellent value. The Polenta was some of the heartiest and most flavorful I've ever...

This review is based on the fact that I went to Bolla two weeks in a row. We were looking for a different restaurant with a tasting menu. Well, we found a great one. We immediatley loved the hotel and the decor. And contrary to other diner's reviews, we actually thought the decor was complimentary. The waiters treated us well...

My wife and I spent our Anniversary at the Stoneleigh. Drinks at the bar were superb, but dinner at Bolla was AMAZING. I expected nothing less from Chef David Bull (for those of you that don't know, he was a competitor on Iron Chef America). Foodies only have two chances in the DFW area to taste dishes from an Iron...

My husband and I had an unforgetable evening in Dallas at the bar and restaurant at the Stoneleigh Hotel on Friday, March 19, 2010. We are foodies who truly appreciate good food and great service. We are always looking to find great places to dine in the Metroplex. We hit the jackpot on this visit. We started with a drink...

The restaurant decor is very elegant and romantic, but that's the only thing the place has going for it. The portions were tiny and tasteless, the bread was hard as a rock, and the service spotty at best. It's definately not a place where locals go for good food and value, only unsuspecting out of town hotel guests who chose...

My wife and I wanted to try this place as we enjoyed Chef David Bull's food at the Driskill in Austin before he left. It was very solid. We had the 3 savory 1 sweet option which cost $55. Both of our two appetizers were awesome, beet salad, tomato type salad, scallops and ravioli. Those are general descriptions as there...

Been several times, however seems to be slipping. Lobster ravioli cold (+$6 charge), bronzino overcooked, added extra peligrino to bill without asking if we wanted more (+$5). Very cool atmosphere, but we were the only table in the restaurant on a Tuesday!

Food is overpriced. If you go to Bolla, make sure you have dinner before or you will be hungry after dinner. Plates are beautifully decorated, a work of art. $15 dollars for a rosted beet salad that has four tiny squares of beets and 4 pieces of cheese. What a joke. The night hostess is in a bad mood since...
