I ate at Hot Chocolate while in Chicago with a colleague for a conference. The restaurant is charming, but feels a little crowded. I had the tomato soup & greens salad. The soup was ok, but tasted like something from a can. The salad was so salty, I couldn't eat most of it. I love salty food, but that was...

I went this past weekend for my first time after passing it by for three years. My friend and I met up with two friends who had already been waiting and put our names in. I am not sure how long they had been waiting but we also waited an additional 30 minutes. Once we sat down it was then,...

Overpriced is one thing, really rude hostess and staff with attitude will ruin anything nice about the place. In a great neighborhood with many better choices. As a native I will never return!

Visited Hot Chocolate on Chicago Food Tour's Bucktown/Wicker Park tasting tour. Had the "Medium" hot chocolate and a homemade marshmallow. So yummy . . . the marshmallow melts in your mouth and the hot chocolate is decadent. A must-visit dessert spot in Chicago!

The food here is wonderful and I don't mind waiting for good food. However, we waited 25 minutes from the time our table was cleared of our dinner to getting the dessert menu. Our table was completely ignored during that time. It was very frustrating. I've never had such bad service. The food is the exceptional, especially the burger and...

I had the black and tan, the dark 72% and the mexican one here.... LOVED each of them. No one else in the country makes hot chocolates as well. the marshmallows are a bit too sweet for my taste. Hubby got donuts, liked them. My girl friend liked the caramel popcorn, the chocolate shell with molten chocolate was super yummy...

Everything about this place was incredible. From the hostess to the waiter to the bartender to the food! We ate here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and we were more than happy with the celebration. I am 6 months pregnant so the waiter had the bartender make some incredible mocktails for me sans alcohol. They were pretty, fun and...

My husband and I went to Hot Chocolate on the night we got engaged, and though we no longer live in Chicago, we took a trip back to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and ate again at Hot Chocolate. I love the feel of the place - candlelit and comfy its very romantic - even though the tables are very...

My wife and I went to brunch at Hot Chocolate today and I must say, we were not disappointed. We both started with the "black & tan" hot chocolate. It was 1/3 hot fudge, the rest hot chocolate with a home made marshmallow. It was delicious. Hands down the best hot chocolate I've ever had. For brunch, I had the...
