This is a lovely little restaurant. It is quite difficult to find, so bear that in mind. I had the duck pate with truffle toasted sandwich followed by guinea fowl and crema catalana - all absolutely delicious. We all considered this to be the best meal we had in Barcelona. The service was efficient and apart from waiting a while...

We asked our hotel about this place and they said to avoid it because it was expensive and a bit of a 'tourist trap'. We took their recommendation for dinner instead and were sorely disappointed. Out of curiosity we stopped via this place during the day and make a reservation for that night....best thing we ever did in Spain! The...

I was disappointed with this restaurant given all the fantastic reviews, maybe I just went on a bad night? The location and atmosphere of the recent is very good, we ate outside in the small square which was quite pleasant, the inside also looked appealing. The food was better than average but nothing exceptional IMO. Food seemed to be reasonably...

Despite a mix up with our reservation, the manager went out of his way to provide a suitable alternative. It was handled with warmth and elegance - that in itself is a recommendation of an establishment. The food was excellent - good quality and some innovation, ambiance warm, good value for money. Possibility to sit outside in the square -...

After ready many outstanding online reviews about this place we decided to give it a shot. We were kind of done with all the greasy tapas and wanted a nice sit down meal. The place is absolutely lovely and lives up to the hype. Cozy, inviting, unpretentious and reasonably priced! This place books up super early, so be sure to...

A real gem - found through Trip Advisor - the food was excellent. For starters we shared two dishes: 'toast with duck liver pate' and 'ham, egg, potato and duck liver' - both were excellent. Our main courses were 'Small Steak with Potato' which was cooked well, and a decent 'Rack of Lamb with Pears' - both with fantastic sauces,...

We tried three times to go to Cafe De L'Academia but they were closed (our fault...Sunday night and Mondays), but we struck gold on a random Tuesday afternoon. I had the special menu of the day which started with a fantastically rich and decadent risotto with parmesan and artichokes. Followed up with a delicate cod dish with asparagus. Both were...

Great food cooked to perfection! My husband and I were certainly not disappointed with this restaurant! We were unfortunately mugged before getting to this restaurant for dinner and weren't in a very good mood. As we booked beforehand (highly recommended you do that - only a few tables), we decided to go ahead with this place (had a little trouble...

We ended up a L'Academia partly on Rick Steve's recommendation and a big part because Robin liked Jazz. We were in for a treat. The first time we went we had the salad with pears and parmisian and these toasted duck-liver-pate sandwiches. Oh yummy. For our main dish we had cod, the top covered in crushed pistachios. The thing is...
