This was my first sit down dine in meal in san sebastian on our third visit to the city, my wife and I normally enjoy bar hopping and pintxos nibbling :-) This visit we decided to splurge a little bit ,and opted for Alejandro on the back of other visitors recommendation. All I can say is WOW, the six course...

This was another dining highlight of our honeymoon. We had the tasting menu with the server pairing wines for us as we went and loved every course. We out out often when we travel and here at home in NYC and would pair this restaurant with any that we have visited.

We are foodies. We live in New York and eat in the best restaurants. Dinner at Bodegon Alejandro was one of the 3 best meals we had in the last year, and we compare it to Michelin starred restaurants and 3 star New York Times restaurants. Food was creative with subtle and unexpected flavors, service was caring but not smothering,...

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Bodegon Alejandro. The restaurant had a cute, rustic feel to it inside, and felt very comfortable and homey. There was no unnecessary pomp with the service or the food. Nevertheless, the food itself was hearty and delicious. We had the lunch tasting menu: 1) Warm smoked squash soup with olive oil...

Everything about this place is awesome. This is the type of dining experience that I was looking for in San Sebastian. The decor is nice, the plating was like art, the food was flavorful and fun, and the service was great. We started with thin crisps of bread and a complementary soup shooter. Then we had a full board of...

If you don't want to spend a fortune on a very high quality meal in San Sebastian I would recommend Bodegon Alexandro. The restaurant is in a relatively simple environment but the food is seriously good - we had the 5 course set lunch for 38 euros and it was the best meal of our trip. For all except serious...

Lovely restaurant serving typical basque food. I didn't like my main course and the waitress was very apologetic asking me to chose something else and then ended up giving me a free dessert. Such great service in such a touristy destination. The desert (peach gnocchi) was by the way one of the best I have ever had ! Oh great...

We went here after finding out it was one of Martin Berasategui's restuarants (michelin star chef), and this was a cheaper alternative to the more expensive michelin restaurants... and we werent disappointed - the service was friendly and helpful - alot of the food is sauced in front of you, which is a nice touch. all the food we ordered...

Food is really good. The menu degustation is definitely worth it and gives an overview of the local great cuisine.

menu de degustation : very good for an affordable price. Flexible if you want to make a small change in the menu (our daugther wanted another flavour of icecream). Used to be a restaurant of Martin Berasategui, pictures of him and his father on the wall when you enter the cellar.
