The food was average and not worth the money. Quite expensive and not at all special. They have a separate section for tourist than they have for the locals. I suspect the locals got better food and better value. There are many good restaurants in Habana I would not waste my money and calories here.

Have a local drink, maybe a snack but no food. Enjoy the musicplayers, the atmosphere and just watch all these different nationalities taking a picture of Ernest Hemingway's big statue in the corner of this place. January2011 joycedano1

I never bother to ask for the price of the Daikiries, I had two of them, but when the waiter told me that I own 24 CUC (cuban convertible pesos,,,, with is around $26 US ) I though he was joking... but he wasn't ,,,, I was the joke for stepping inside that bar ,,, never again !

It was one of these real Cuban experiances: It looks great and interesting but is disappointing and overpriced. The ambiente in bar and restaurant is well worth a visit, the daiquiries at the bar are good but the food in the restauraunt is truely disappointing. I had the lobster, which was overcooked and dry.

The only fantastic meal we had in Cuba in the 14 nights we were there...I have been to some wonderful restaurants..but having not eaten terribly well over say 10 ays before we went to this restaurant , it was a wonderful welcome..Foo and wine extremely nice, service average, surroundings very romantic..cocktails are the best. The staff will kindly call out...

The atmosphere is everything you would expect given all the hype- art deco, clean, air conditioned however the lousy service and overpriced poorly made cocktails were a disappointment. We did enjoy the live music however I think if Hemingway were around today this is probably the last place he would stop by for a drink
