Delightful late lunch in this beautiful austrian-german restaurant. Don't expect to see the Von Trap Family Singers here, the staff and the decor are definitely 21st Century and looking cool. The lunch menu has 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 3 desserts. Sounds limited? Everything is to die for! Wiener Schnietzel is perfect (that's expected), but so is the POCHIERTES EI...

We were pleasantly surprised by this sophisticated, elegant Austrian restaurant. We were expecting the typical Bavarian country experience and instead found a contemporary atmosphere and Austrian nouvelle cuisine. The food was well prepared and presented; wonderful flavors. The only negatives were the very small portions and the extremely pricey wine list. But of the four NY restaurants were experienced over...

Seasonal is a nouvelle - meaning light and flavorful- German/Austrian in NYC. Why we don't have more of these is beyond me. We had excellent apps - smoked char and salad - and very good mains - weiner schnitzel with berries and potato and cucumber salad and cleverly done sauerbraten. Desserts were a pistachio cake - don't miss it -...

Solo diners, take note: the staff at Seasonal will treat you as if you are SUPPOSED to be there alone; as if that's the BEST way to appreciate the flavors and service and ambience--which are excellent across the board. I adored the updated twists on classic Austrian dishes and the expert wine recommendation (I didn't even know there was such...

This restaurant was the discovery of my trip to NY. Never would I have believed that I would eat the finest and most memorable Austrian meal outside the borders of Austria. But is has to be said, the weinerschnitzel with the roughly mashed potatoes (as second starter) and the skate (as entrée) were outstanding. The former was fairly traditional whereas...

We found the innovative food to be wonderful, but the long initial delay in service took much of the pleasure out of our visit on a Sunday night. Next time we'll stop in for appetizers and a drink elsewhere before arrival - it should not take the staff 20 minutes to provide a menu. Perhaps a waitstaff member called in...

Had a delightful meal at Seasonal, a small serene restaurant. We were a larger party and the restaurant asked us to use the pre-theatre menu which offered 3 choices for appetizer, 3 for main, and 2 for dessert with nice variety to satisfy all our diners. The food combined innovation with more traditional dishes in ways which highlighted the strengths...

Visited the terrific Seäsonal for my 50th Birthday, and had a culinary/hospitality experience worthy of that important event. I almost never write reviews, but I feel I owe it to you to let you know about this place! Service was exemplary; kudos to management for bringing us Priya, Awa, Martin and everyone else who works here. All were warm, knowledgeable,...

My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and she booked us a dinner at Seasonal based on reviews she had seen. It was a great disappointment. The service and especially the food was inconsistent: my main course, the Kaisergoulash, was so bad that I left half of it. It is not that I am unused to such food: I...

We visited Seasonal for Lunch in December 2009. We ordered from the exceptional value set lunch menu of 3 courses for $27. Each course was good in terms of flavour and portion size. The one that sticks out in my mind was the black sea bass with pomegranate, a tasty combination. We enjoyed the experience as we were made to...
