We were there for business/ pleasure. The doormen welcomed us, helped w luggage in the pouring rain. Always handy for a taxi. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. We spent very little time in the room but was bigger than expected when talking about NYC hotels. Quiet at night. Close to everything.

Great location for a hotel that featured in various movies as a classical NY grand hotel... In fact it reminds you of 1920's grandeur as you walk in the lobby.... But it all stops there. My queen room was very narrow and bathroom tiny. Hallways and room smell stuffy as of carpets in need of a deep wash. Minimal toiletries...

We've just come back from 2 days in NYC. While the hotel was very well located (10 minutes top from Time Square) and our room was spacious and clean, the level of noise from the street prevented us from sleeping. The hotel is older and has not upgraded to newer windows so any noise can be heard from the street....
