Our family stayed here for a weekend in the city and were very pleased with everything, from the accommodating staff we encountered at the door, to the clean room, to the buffet breakfast... Others have noted that the Roosevelt is not modernized, and that's true, but it is classic New York with lots of charm. Lots of history here! The...

We were there for business/ pleasure. The doormen welcomed us, helped w luggage in the pouring rain. Always handy for a taxi. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. We spent very little time in the room but was bigger than expected when talking about NYC hotels. Quiet at night. Close to everything.

We were a bit nervous when we read some of the reviews but were very pleasantly surprised on our stay. Our check in was easy, the room was a good size with a comfortable bed and OK amenities. Yes the bathroom was a bit basic but it was clean with decent towels. A mini bar would have been nice but...

Great location for a hotel that featured in various movies as a classical NY grand hotel... In fact it reminds you of 1920's grandeur as you walk in the lobby.... But it all stops there. My queen room was very narrow and bathroom tiny. Hallways and room smell stuffy as of carpets in need of a deep wash. Minimal toiletries...

Where do we start? Checking in was simply Abysmal - the very first room we were given had a heavy smell of mould, my wife took two sniffs in the room and then we went back to reception to complain. Fair enough (but suspiciously without quibble or complaint) we were "upgraded" to a room on Madison Avenue. So off we...

Stayed at the Roosevelt in December last year for a last minute trip to NYC. It was my first trip to NYC so had no idea what to expect. I was amazed looking at all the cloud high buildings on our taxi ride in and after a fairly short journey we arrived at the hotel. I have no idea how...

We were relocated to the Roosevelt Hotel by Expedia after our original hotel closed for some reason. I had not researched the Roosevelt, so all I knew was that the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. I was very pleasantly surprised. Check in and check out were both under 5 minutes. The lobby retains the luxurious feel...

Stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel for a couple of days (May 13 & 14, 2011) with my hubby and loved it! Mind you, we only used the room for sleeping after exploring the city by foot, so we didn't care much about the amenities or how big or small the room was. Please keep in mind that this hotel is...

We've just come back from 2 days in NYC. While the hotel was very well located (10 minutes top from Time Square) and our room was spacious and clean, the level of noise from the street prevented us from sleeping. The hotel is older and has not upgraded to newer windows so any noise can be heard from the street....

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little scared about the rooms. The lobby was beautiful, sure, but so were the rooms. Clean, nice size for new york city, a comfortable, blush bed, and we had air and heat....very nice...Six elevators !!!! Great location. 1 1/2 blocks from Grand Central Station, easy access to the subways. I will...
