We booked a junior suite which was approx £900 for 4 nights in May. Not cheap but then it seems not many hotels in central New York are! The room was very spacious indeed, had 2 TVs, 2 double beds, fridge and separate minibar, setee, desk and not much of a view. Despite not having much of a view it...

Upon arrival, we were struck by how small the lobby was. Presentable, but very small. Check in was smooth but we were not assigned the type of room we had pre-paid for - this was never mentioned to us - we were simply sent to a room. There was no offer of baggage assistance. We exited the elevator on our...

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights recently. The check in was smooth and the staff on the front desk were polite and always able to help if you had questions about booking tours or anything. They spoke English and Spanish (this is a Spanish hotel chain). The room we were allocated was very roomie and had two queen...

We travel to NYC once to twice a year, both with and without our young children and I have to say I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The staff, including both bellmen, front desk staff and even the general staff at the hotel, were friendly and helpful every step of the way. They made the kids feel at...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in March in the Executive Jacuzzi Suite which was huge. We needed this space as our little man of 7 months does not travel light! The bed was enormous and the biggest I have ever stayed in. It was also extremely comfortable. It was lovely to have the little sitting room so...

I enjoyed my 5 night stay at this well located hotel. Very comfortable beds and suite reasonably large.Lack of tea and coffee maker in room is a big deal for me and lack of fasteningmoving floor boards annoying to walk on. Staff very friendly which is appreciated.

Upon arrival, the hotel seemed pretty nice, not massive, but we were jsutly greeted by the bellhop, who took our bags to our room. We were allowed to check in 5 hours early too. Room was massive for NY, and the only negative was the corridors wreaked of cigarettes (we were on the 3rd floor) but not the room. Then...

At first glance the Avalon might seem a bit dated, but somewhere along your stay you will soon realize that it is cultural historic gem that will make you feel like you're a true native New Yorker or that you just stepped into in a Woody Allen Movie. Many boutique hotels in NYC (as well as regular hotels) are quite...

It is rare that the hotel interior and room photos match what they look like in real life. In this case we were expecting to be let down and were almost speechless at the size and finish of the hotel and room. Minor points: Room: A/C was very loud. Also difficult to regulate the temperature. The room was too hot...
