We have visited and stayed in NYC many times. Read Frommer's and was interested in The Michelangelo, specifically for visiting the Met. Museum of Art for Alexander McQueen show, and Cooper-Hewitt's Van Cleef & Arpels show. The room was spacious, elegant, with lovely furnishings and comfortable sofa-sleeper for our 6'2" teenaged son. King bed in bedroom was terrific. Plenty of...

We were the city to celebrate my birthday for a long weekend. Upon arrival following a two hour flight delay, the reception was quick and friendly. We were even upgraded to a one bedroom suite! The location can't be beat. It truly is an oasis. Quiet, discreet, but close to shows, attractions, and dining.

The Michelangelo is in a great location as it is close to Times Square without being noisy as well as being close to a variety of theatres, excellent restaurants, fifth avenue etc. We just loved the hotel. It was clean, the staff were very friendly and in particular the bar staff were great, especially Bernie and Carmen. We would definitely...

I've been staying here since 1996. Location is grrrrrreat. Right in midtown, close to subways, restaurants, shopping. Reasonable prices, actual large rooms -- not NYC large -- friendly staff. Bit dogmatic about the a.m. coffee closing time, and some carpets are showing a wee bit of wear but not at all shabby. The place sparkles. However, I urge you to...

Everything was wonderful at The Michelangelo. The location was perfect- we were easily able to walk to Central Park, Rockefeller, Broadway theaters, and Times Square. The lobby is beautiful, and the morning coffee and scones was a nice touch. Although the hotel is close to a lot of excitement, the hotel itself is quiet. We heard absolutely zero city noise...

The Michelangelo hotel was excellent. This was the first time to New York. We chose the hotel because it was recommended by friends and Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. When we got there they upgraded our room to a Jr. Suite which was not expected but greatly appreciated. The location couldn't have been better. Minutes walk from Times Square...

The room was gorgeous, very roomy and very quiet. Located right right around the corner from Times Square. We walked to a play one block over – it was absolutely perfect. I would stay there again and again!

The Michelangelo was a perfect choice for our getaway. We stayed several nights and I only wish I could have taken the bed home with me. The "best" bed hands down, that I have ever slept in. Well located in Midtown, within walking distance to the shows, Times Square, 5th Avenue......perfect..... If I had any complaints it would be the...
