My partner and I stayed at the Marriott late April. We were in NYC both to visit relatives and then for a conference he was attending. We first stayed at another hotel and then moved to the Marriott. This was booked for us by the conference organisers. On first settling into our room, we found that the previous occupants had...

My husband and I recently stayed at the New York Marriott Downtown and with the exception of a repeated fire alarm notice at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, (which of course could have happened anywhere & we appreciated being informed), everything was perfect! We were able to check in early, and were told upon check-in we were going to have a...

As a point of reference for my description, we only stay in 4 star hotels.....I stayed on Mother's day weekend (5/6-5/8) and was throwing a surprise party in NY for my wife (she's from the Northeast). I booked the hotel about 4 weeks in advance through the Mariott website and found a very reasonable rate for NY, a little under...

Attending my Uncle's funeral in Brooklyn so needed a hotel in Lower manhattan for ease of travel. We usually stay midtown. Late booking. Pleasantly surprised by the quality comfort of the hotel room and facilities. Lovely staff at reception. Friendly and helpful concierge. Room with a brilliant view of the river and Ellis Island. Room service excellent and good value....

*We arrived at 8:30pm on Friday night and the hotel was bustling. The valet man was quick to assist us and our car was taken to the lot across the street. The park for an average sized car was 55$ a night, which to me was crazy.(but is normal) * Check in was fast and easy. * Room was average...

Our room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. No view (unless you're keen on views on building sites), but we did get a good rate so I guess this was the downside. Sleep quality got marked down one, as during the second night of our stay we were bothered into the small hours by a group of exuberent schoolkids who...

For a downtown location the Marriott has a good combination of convenience and value. Although not cheap it has all the usual standards of a Marriott. The only negative is the absolutely ridiculous oversell of the concierge lounge -- hard to find a seat in the morning and seemed to always be running out of some food items.

I stayed at this hotel with 3 of my friends for a weekend of fun in the city to celebrate my upcoming marriage. The hotel is located pretty far downtown- in the financial district- 1 block from ground zero and 2 blocks from Wall St. and the best NYC shopping at Century 21. We enjoyed the location as it was...

Great Property. I stayed at this hotel for leisure. This was my first time to NYC and I had a blast. We were given a room on the 17th floor facing the harbour. Beds were comfortable, room spacious, the restroom was gorgeous and spacious. The gift shop is expensive a bottle of water was $4.00. The business center is not...
