We recently spent 4 nights at the Flatotel in New York City. It was great! We had the good fortune to get a complimentary upgrade from the deluxe queen we had booked, to a one bedroom suite. I've stayed in plenty of New York hotels, and they tend to be universally tiny. This room was Huge! 1100 sq ft with...

Reading past reviews, I was prepared for the Flatotel to disappoint me, but overall it was a good experience. We came to stay here after booking through Expedia without knowing what property or the location. The location, as it turned out, was exactly where we wanted it, and the price was good. The catch was that Flatotel (or somebody else?)...

I've stayed at this hotel twice before (2004 and 2006) and wasn't as happy with my recent stay as I've been in the past. Although we booked back in Feb, we got a room right by an elevator which was disappointing. The location is really good. We were able to walk to Times Square in a few minutes. The complimentary...

I stayed at the Flatotel for two nights for a conference in May of 2011. The location is very central, just outside of Times Sq, and the room was very large. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was not the best. The TV seemed to date from the 1990's, and the remote did not work. The bathtub had jucuzzi jets,...

The bed was the best part of the room, it was large and very comfy. The room was dark and in need of a re-furb. It didn't even have a central light you could switch on. The bathroom didn't work, the bath had a huge window by it & we had to shut the blind or everyone could see us...

Nice Hotel, I stayed in a deluxe King room, it was a good size, with a very nice bathroom. The room had a t.v, & Cd player, also included was an iron, and ironing board. The huge bed was one of the most comfortable beds i'd ever slept in. It's not the best Hotel i've stayed in, but it was...

The biggest thing that sticks with me about this hotel is that the whole place seemed dull, dark, and uninviting. The street entrance is unremarkable, and the lobby was like a cave. The staff I dealt with were nice enough, but they couldn't brighten the mood of the place if they had flowers growing out of their ears. The room...

I arrived to be told that my booking had been cancelled by the agent, however the hotel manager helped me out and upgraded me (I ended up in a suite, so no complaints there!!) The hotel is a bit dark as you go into the lobby but my room was enormous and the windows allowed the sunlight in all day...

Now our usual adress why coming in New York, it will stay our adress... The situation is optimal , near Times square, but not too near and so a small stop before broadway shows is always possible(+++ when you are with wife and young teenager after a day of shopping..) and you have not the noise of Times square. With...
