Stayed here with friends for 2 nights. It's an old dingy hotel with mold in the shower. The only thing going for this hotel is the location.

This hotel is half a block off Times Square, amazing location. There wasn't any lines for checking, and bellhop boys were right there to take up your luggage. The room was the same as every other regular hotel room I’ve stayed in. The only bad part of the room was the bathroom, was extremely small. We changed in the closet...

I had a reservation at the Edison for seven nights - I stayed one. I thought perhaps the charm of the lobby would extend to the rooms but I was wrong. The walls were scuffed and gouged and there were patches of grout where some of the gouges had been filled in. The furniture was stained, the bedding was cheap...

perhaps because of booking late, this was rather expensive for what it was...or maybe all new york hotels are overpriced??? Reception and checking in were good-rooms very old and cramped..no tea/coffee making facilities, iron provided but no sockets apart from unplugging some cables attached to tv,. It was clean but because there was no room we didnt invite maids in to trample...

We stayed in this hotel last year and were happy enough with it to book again this year. Unfortunately the prices have shot up and the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel itself have taken a downturn. We refused to stay in the first room (it smelt of damp and the bathroom was disgusting, full of hairs and the bath...

The rooms advertised are nothing like the one we were given, ours was at the back of the hotel, no outlook at all and the room was awful it was run down and tiny, the air conditioner was stuffed round the edges with material. Very disappointed as this was a trip for my 60th birthday and we thought we were...

Not the best, not the most luxurious, not the cleanest.. but the best value for your money! Hotel's location is excellent (100m from Times Square and lots of restaurants) and the staff is kind and helpful. The hotel and the room are little old fashioned but they are clean and spacious (enough). Absolutely the best hotel in Midtown New York...

1 person found this review helpful This was my second stay at the Edison in 3 months. My daughter and I came both times to enjoy NYC and see shows. The location can't be beat and there's a great deli next door. The hotel and rooms are very clean and we had a newly renovated room this time. The staff is friendly and very helpful. With...

This hotel is in a great spot just a few feet from Times Square but the hotel itself is dated, it was under development when we stayed and most of the rooms on our floor was empty and in the process of redecoration. The staff were friendly enough but the cafe is a little "touch and go" we had no...
