You don't go to NYC to stay in your room but the rooms, although reasonably clean, were in need of new carpeting. As well he washrooms really need to have new wall-paper and the mold removed. The air-conditioners did not work in our room, or in our daughters' room. Overall the rooms, however, were fairly quiet in the part of...

When we walked down the hallway to our room, it smelled so badly of cigarette smoke, you could hardly breathe. The room was marginally better. There was a lot of noise, all night from the outside. It was very expensive, and we didn't have time to find alternative room. The carpet was very dirty, the shower grout had mold. The...

I stayed two nights on a business trip in this hotel, mainly because it was a last minute booking and this was one of the only hotels with rooms under $500 a night. The room was large, comfortable and the wifi worked well and was free, which was important as I spent a lot of time dealing with work emails....

Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to many places (eg central park, times square, broadway, the subway).
Rooms were clean and serviced daily, however you could hear patrons in the rooms next door.
Lifts were really slow during peak times (once waited for 5 lifts before being able to get in one)
The room we stayed in wasnt...

I chose Holiday Inn Midtown because of its price and location. We were not disappointed. We had rooms on the 17th floor facing downtown. Our room was far enough away from the lift and the ice machine so there was little noise. We were four people in our large room but had to share queen size beds.
We booked with...

Arrived at the hotel two hours earlier than the booking in time but were still able to book to our room which we were very relieved about after a long flight. The room was large and clean. Vending machine for drinks on each floor which was very handy.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and...

I am a big supporter of the Holiday Inn brand because it allows you to use a minimal number of points and $60 to stay at their hotels. This time I was on business and the hotel was to be seen to be believed.
The room was quite large but all of the furniture looked like it had not been...

As is the case with so many hotels in NYC, the lobby of the Holiday Inn is very nice. There's an attractive bar at the far end, high ceilings, elegant front desk, etc. And with most NYC hotels, once you get to your room, you are let down by the cramped quarters. We spent 4 nights there (myself, wife, 23...

Booked this hotel for location and tend to use Holiday Inn. Having made the booking I was horrified by the majority of reviews I read. It was therefore with some trepidation that I arrived at the hotel. However, I was very pleasantly surprised, efficient and friendly service, good size (and very clean) bedroom for Manhattan, Okay, the bathroom was dated...
