First of all I would like to say Thank You Trip Advisor reviewers for painting such a lovely picture of the Hotel Beacon. It was because of those reviews that I cancelled my “tried and true” Times Square Hotel reservation to try a hotel a little further away-The Hotel Beacon. 4 of us (Husband, 15 & 17 year old daughters,...

Wonderful stay at The Beacon. I loved the Upper West Side location for it's residential feel but with so many restaurants, shops, museums and Central Park on the doorstep. My room was huge with plenty of closet space. Free WIFI would be nice but there are 2 computers available for guest use and a Starbucks on the corner with free...

Having stayed at a few UWS hotels, decided to try the Beacon. Great choice! There were 4 of us, son, girlfriend, wife and myself. Chose a 1 bedrrom suite, plenty of room and privacy. Room very neat and clean. Staff, attentive, but not intrusive. Location? Well what can i say? The UWS is my favorite NYC neighborhood. Right on broadway...

I trusted Trip Advisor's reviews for the Hotel Beacon and they were spot on. Everything was delightful, the rooms, clean, quiet, spacious for our needs - we had 2 rooms, one with a king sized bed and a room with two double beds. The linens on the very comfortable beds were exceptional. This was a first trip for my family...

I styed at teh Hotel Beacon a while back, but have only just gotten around to writing a review. I feel they deserve all the good reviews as this was a wonderful place to stay in New York. It was quiet and homely after a day of sightseeing in fabulous New York. Everyone was helpful and we found the rate...

I stayed here for the week of my wedding in NYC. I was apprehensive at staying in only a 3 star, but needed the space afforded by a suite and this hotel was very reasonable. I needn't have worried.
The suite we were in was very spacious (huge by NYC standards!) lovely and spotlessly clean, very comfortable indeed with a...

My daughter and I stayed their last week while we attended her Doctorale Commencement at Columbia University. While the hotel was very clean, our room accommodating it was pale in comparison to the OUTSTANDING customer service we experienced. We have traveled all over the world but never have we received such VIP treatment. The Beacon Hotel and it's staff are...

The hotel is situated on the Upper West Side, opposite a Fairway store and close to Central Park, restaurants, shops and bars. Unlike Midtown, the Upper West Side is a neighbourhood populated by New Yorkers rather than tourist so get get a better feel for life in the city but have all the advantages of fast transport links.
The Beacon...

While planing our trip to New York, my son, who lives there suggested we stay away from the noisy and pricey Time Square area. He suggested the upper west end. I found Hotel Beacon on Trip advisor. We were very happy with our choice. The staff was helpfull and polite. The room was clean, had a great veiw, and with...

We have stayed at Hotel Beacon twice - and I just love it!! It is in a fab location - close to subway and only 5 stops to Times Square!! It has a late night market across the road, a wine bar on the corner, Beacon Theatre right next door, and it has heaps of restaurants and shops within walking...
