I graduated from Columbia University this past week (5/17/11) and chose to stay at Inn New York City. I travelled with some of my family members. We are from NJ, and this was the first time some of my family members have stayed in NY. I have to say that it was a lovely and memorable experience.
I found the...

My two adult daughters joined me for a four-day celebration of my 72nd birthday: the opera, shows, restaurants, museums, and "shopping like a New Yorker" with a little wheeled cart provided by our hostess. The only way to duplicate this experience: buy an elegantly furnished brownstone in THE perfect NYC location, equip it with elves who unobtrusively (and intuitively) supply...

My spouse and I are New Yorkers, and have been staying at the Inn New York City (the Spa Suite, always the Spa Suite!) a few times a year for at least a decade. When we need to plan a special weekend (anniversary, birthday, etc.), or just a "staycation" in town, the Inn New York City is the first, and...

My husband surprised me with a stay at the Inn on my 50th birthday. I have traveled extensively and have never been in such a uniquely wonderful inn. Amazing find in the middle of NYC. Great location near the opera and great restaurants. We stayed in the spa room -- terrific bathroom and spa. Food delivered every day. Clean, quiet...

We stayed in the Spa Suite for four nights and had a fantastic stay - we loved everything about this place. We had an entire floor to ourselves - a bedroom, galley kitchen and amazing spa bathroom. The owners have thought of everything - chocolates, freshly baked cakes, cheese, quiche, wine, bagels, croissants, milk fruit etc - all replenished daily....

This was our second hotel stay during the trip and we can't imagine staying anywhere else now.
It felt equally homey and luxurious, which is a difficult task.
We became as excited to go back to our room as we were about all the fun we were having in the city.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Wonderful spot for a romantic weekend in NY. Great location for Central Park, Lincoln Center, Riveraide Park, and Columbus Circle. Subway stop within 2 blocks for all other areas of the city.
Stayed in the Spa Suite. Huge bedroom, terrific galley kitchen, which was stocked daily with quiche, chocolates, brioche, and a to die for bathroom, complete with one the...

My wife and I were fortunate to have this wonderful, bead and breakfast style lodging recommended to us. There are only 4 unique rooms with different themes; we stayed in the Spa Suite. It's a beautiul room with a very up-to-date kitchen, large bedroom with a king bed and the bathroom is really a spa in itself with a very...

Yes, this place is expensive. But save up for it; splurge every once in a while; treat yourself; heck, steal the money from the kids' college accounts if you have to: the Inn is well worth its price. We stayed in the Spa Suite, which exceeded all my expectations. The Inn's video tour simply does not do it justice. It's...

This is a guest house with 4 rooms, just as advertised, no less BUT no more. (it is NOT my idea of a hotel or even an "Inn".)
I thought I was doing the right thing trying to book something a little different to a 5 star hotel, even if it had 5 star prices.
Unfortunately I was wrong.
I...
