I recently spent 7 nights at the Bubba and Bean Lodges and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The large room was light and airy and well appointed. It was like staying in a New York apartment, as there were no signs to indicate that it was for tourist accomodation. The restaurants were excellent,as were their hosts. Although the neighbourhood initially seemed...

We stayed here in July 2010. Jonathan and Clement were excellent hosts. They helped us out when we arrived early and then again when we were leaving for our flight home. Our room was lovely and bright, on the top floor of the building and big enough for the 4 of us. It was clean and spacious and was serviced...

after years of traveling and staying in accommodations as low as dorm hostels and as high as 5 star hotels, this was a fantastic change of pace. imagine a bachelor-style apartment with larger-than-normal sized rooms (for nyc) and clean, modern furnishings in a townhome walkup run by two amiable and helpful hosts. everything worked perfectly, the location was extremely handy...

Just stayed a week in Room 4 and enjoyed every night. Location on the Upper East Side has easy access to the subway into town and just a short walk from Central Park. The area felt very safe with a large variety of restaurants and food outlets nearby. The room was a studio apartment that was spacious and had a...

Me and some friends were looking to visit New York for the first time and didn't want to book a few days and stay in a budget hotel so we found this magical place. It was great value for money and allowed us to spend a week in New York where we was able to enjoy everything at our own...

My wife and I stayed here twice during Nov Dec 2010 for a total of 11 nights. All communications around fact finding and booking were well handled by hosts. These are genuine people who offer a genuine friendly but discreet service. They were always there at important times and never seen when we didn't need them. We're from a warm...

This was a good place to stay, lovely rooms, great value and good location(lots of lovely restaurants near by). Room was noisy due to loud pipes and very noisy fridge! Our only criticism was no contact with the owners, perhaps over the 6 days would have been nice to see if we had any problems or questions. We were due...

We are couple with teenager from Australia. This is our first time to New York. Bubba and Bean Lodge is an excellent place to base yourself. The subway is on the corner and it is easy and safe way to get around. Jonathan and Clement are really helpful, can't do enough for you. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated....
