We stayed there for one week and were very impressed with this hotel. You can't beat the location - it's one block from Times Square and there are great resteraunts on this street. The staff were helpful and I found the it to be fairly quiet given that it was filled with tourists. I would stay there again for sure.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean but very small. The location is fantastic. Day staff attentive and friendly, but there are problems with dawn staff. The price, as any hotel in New York rather than ideal. The lobby does not give a good impression.
We had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel but there was a big...

Loved the Mela! Absolutely spotless. One minute walk to times square. The best location possible to walk to all you want to see! Checked in early with no problem. Room was not huge but certainly adequate, and the bathroom was larger than many I have encountered in NYC hotels. Great amenities in the bathroom. Before arriving we signed up for...

Hotel Mela is an average hotel.
Front Desk & Doorman - very friendly but never at the door or front desk. I always needed to wait at the front desk and wait for someone to come from the back room.
Room - we were upgraded to a penthouse. It was clean, had 2 baths, and good size but not what...

This was Avery nice hotel for a weekend in NY. I booked through qwikbook and it was a great value. The rooms are small, to be sure, but the bed is comfortable, the bathroom perfectly nice. I would happily stay there again.

We stayed for 7 nights last november at the Mela Hotel. We actually booked our flights and hotel seperately. We stayed in an executive room on the 4th Floor - The room was more than big enough, it was very quiet and we were not at any point disturbed my other guests! You are a 2 minute walk to times...

My best friend and I decided to take a trip for her birthday to NYC. We arrived on Thursday and the hotel is 1 block away from Times Square! We paid no more than 7 bucks for a taxis to the meat packing district, the village & hell's kitchen etc. and it was it was pretty walking distance away from...

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hotel Mela and this hotel is a real gem.Just a short walk from Times Square and central to all the usaual New York attractions, all within walking distance. I was concerned about the numerous comments made about the room sizes, we booked a Superior Queen which was not the biggest hotel...

After having booked a whole week at Mela at a very discounted price, for a standard room, I was very grateful to be informed at my check in that I had been upgraded to a Deluxe King room at the 16th floor!
Although some people may miss some hotel´s facilities, such as a larger lobby, breakfast room or spa, rooms...

Couldn't believe how close to Times Square this hotel was. We got the rooms at a discount price (Travel Zoo) which made it unbelievable value. Rooms an okay size, clean and nice decor. Good TV channel range. Mini bar very overpriced ($10 for a bottle of water), but guess thats what you get in a New York hotel. Literally 3...
