The Hilton New York has disappointed me even by conference hotel standards, which are fairly low. As mentioned by others this is a huge property with a lobby that I’d liken to a bus station. There is no relaxation space and the lighting is poor throughout the property. No quiet, calm place to sit anywhere.
The rooms are reasonably clean...

We booked this hotel as part of a deal on the British Airways website that included the flights and accomodation with breakfast.
The first impression of the hotel was very good. Our taxi drew up inthe carriage drive and a member of staff was at hand tothe door for us. The reception area is large and has a...

The staff was accommodating from the moment I arrived (early).
Street fair in front of the hotel that day.
They offered to store my luggage and provide me with a safe deposit box so I could go out and enjoy the City. Provided me with bus directions as I was off to the Met.
I came back late (walkable from...

The Hilton New York is a great choice if you are travelling to New York.
I stayed here for six nights in March 2011 and had returned to the Hotel for the fifth time. I have stayed at a few Hotels in NY but this one is without doubt one of my favourites.
Located minuted from Times Square, Central Part,...

Stayed for six days in an 40th floor executive floor room but were disappointed the quality of the room and the general upkeep which were below the standards of other Hiltons we have stayed in. Disappointing for the $330.+ per night room rate.
The carpet in the hallway to our room was dark, old looking and worn with several large...

Hotel bedroom was spacious and clean but our main complaint was that our travel adaptor did not work. When querying this with reception we were told (in quite an offhand way) that we would have to use the Business Centre - I don't think they would appreciate my daughter using her hair straighteners in there! So we could not charge...

My husband & I stayed in this hotel last week and enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we needed - a place to rest our heads at night.
PROS -
*Everything is clean. The lobby is immaculate and very spacious.
*The staff that we encountered (our maid and the front desk staff) were all very friendly.
*It's a huge...

WiFi is expensive unless you have a code. Go during a conference and then just ask at the desk for the conference wifi code. Either that or ask a delegate - hey presto, free wifi. The Hilton is immaculate and in a perfect location for: Central Park, Rockefeller Center, NBC Studios, MoMA, FAO Schwartz, Carnegie Hall, and a short walk...

I decided to give this place another chance after my last dismal experience a few years ago. The Director of Sales had contacted me and had encouraged me to return - I promised her I would one day.
My room on the Executive Level (# 3942) was shockingly bad. The decor was extremely outdated; carpets were stained and there was...

Great location - close to Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and Central Park. Rooms comfortable and as expected. Expensive WiFi especially after after other hotels n the same chain provided free WiFi. Check in was slow (10 mins) even in the HHonors line. Lobby not particularly welcoming - busy, staff functional but not friendly and overly helpful. We basically used hotel...
