We went around Christmas time (Dec.16th) and had a great stay. I was a little worried about the location and walking at night but felt safe walking toward midtown and to the subway station. It was about a 15-20 minute casual walk to get to the subway station. The staff was nice and extended our check out because of a...

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the subway station, which is not that great after a day of walking but bus stopp are closest. We were in a room with a door connecting to the room next to us. It was like the guests in the room next door were in our room and we didn't sleep at...

I was very concerned prior to my trip, because I always end up at a noisy hotel prior to a big race. I am originally from the NYC area and knew this would be a great location--near Central Park and the start of the NYC Half Marathon. The room did not disappoint. It was clean and comfortable, quiet, and the...

Went for 1 theater/museum weekend with S.O. The hotel is just average, rooms are clean, decent, well furnished. Neighborhood is good, upper east side, short walk from Metropolitan and Guggenheim, lots of fun restaurants. Staff are extremely helpful and put a lot of effort into their service. Lobby is small, with no bathrooms on that level. I would certainly return...

I stayed here for one night before running the NYC half marathon. I had a discounted rate of 189.00 through NYRR. The hotel itself is on the small side, with a bar and restaurant that closed at 10 pm on a saturday night. The pool was onlyuntil 6 pm! The hotel isnt near anything within walking distance. It...

The upper east side of Manhattan is not the hub of NYC nightlife. It is a residential neighborhood lined with lots of local ethnic restaurants and shops selling the necessities of daily life. So if one doesn't mind being in this section of town, the hotel is a perfectly reasonable, moderately priced option. The common areas were clean if a...

I stayed here for 3 nights in September 2010. I expected much more, but just because it did not meet my expectations it does not mean it is a bad hotel. Pros: 1. Free internet 2. Nice and helpful staff Cons: 1. I considered this to be too expensive for the location/service offered although we are talking about NYC. It...

Recently stayed again at this Marriott, have been back several times. Nice hotel, especially for the price. Decent area, clean rooms, basic lobby and services, small but serviceable gym and pool area. You're away from the hustle and bustle, but this Marriott is quiet, safe, feels like you're in a corner of "real" New York, not the tourist-trap horror that...

This hotel reminds me of a standard suburban Courtyard; that being said, with so many choices of hotels in New York City, I can find no compelling reason to stay here instead of in more of a busy, touristy area, with more amenities for travellers. As many others have stated, this hotel is located in a residential area (2nd Ave...

I stayed here for one night over the Christmas holiday. It is a nice, modern hotel. The rooms are more along the lines of what you would expect for a layout (instead of the crazy designs of some NYC hotels that have been converted from other purposes. Check-in an check-out were a breeze. Shower and TV worked and the room...
