Stayed 3 nights at the hotel. Very nouveau interiors. Check-in was fast and effecient. Room was spacious and clean (although the top of cabinet for the TV had not been dusted in a while). Bathrooms are great; separate tub/shower and temperature controls should be a standard everywhere. Plush linens. Turn down staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was quiet...

A great place to enjoy the trendy and busy life in the Meatpacking District. The hotel has a intimate pool on the roof with great views, although it becomes a too crowded area at night. Comfortable, but expensive rooms ( rather small). You are close to excellent shops and restaurants. A special touch in New York.

This is a great, contemporary hotel in the Meatpacking District, surrounded by converted warehouses and set amongst cobbled streets near the Hudson River. This is a seriously cool part of NYC. The hotel itself has great rooms, a funky rooftop pool and bar and a quieter bar and coffee shop on the ground floor. It can get noisy at night...

I have been traveling to NY for work every few weeks and this was a recommendation from some colleagues. To say the least I was very disappointed, especially based on rate. Upon arrival there was a long line with only two people behind the desk so waited over 20 minute to check in. When I finally did get up to...

The Gansevoort in Meatpacking has to be in one of the City's top location for nightlife. The area is packed with the city's best/trendiest restaurants and clubs. The hotel itself, however, has seen better days. The exterior and interior are in need of some TLC. Although it's not terrible, the furniture looks beat. There are permanent water stains on coffee...

Stayed last weekend for a Saturday night. Tried to check into my suite, room 1112. Told check in was 3PM. Room was still not ready at 4pm. Gave us drink tix for rooftop bar. Room still not ready at 5pm....at this point the told us a "regular" was still in the room....offered us another room to use. Finally got into...

I was concerned when booking this hotel due to the negative reviews on noise and club-like feel. I must say I enjoyed staying at the hotel. The location can't be beaten: in the meat packing district and close to Chelsea and the village. Yes, it's a bit noisy with all the hooting and sirens but this is NYC after all....

The size of the room and bathrooms are large by NYC standards. Always love to have a bath robe provided and the extra deep tub was heaven after a long day of walking. The room service was fast and the burger was really tasty. Got a little "clubby" and crowded outside the hotel on Fri-Sat but the lovely bay windows...

I love this hotel and stay here every time I come to NYC. Location is in the heart of the most hip part of the city, the Meatpacking District. Neighbors the Village. So a perfect location for shopping and great restaurants. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you like the nightlife, this is the place to be...not only do...
