My husband & I spent 2 nights here and everything was wonderful! EVERY member of the staff was so friendly & helpful. The Bellmen practically ran to take care of anything you asked & the desk staff were quick to give you a map with directions to anywhere you needed to go. Breakfast was good....and again, the waitstaff was fabulous....

I recently completed ((in late April 2011) my fourth lengthy stay (from 8 days to 12 days each time) here since September 2010. For each of my stays, I reserved online; the last three times I booked directly through the hotel's website and chose the lowest rate tier (ie., prepaid, non-refundable, non-changeable, etc.).
Each of my stays to date at...

Stayed here for three nights--near Chinatown and Little Italy so lots of good eats nearby. Hotel is a decent price and quality for staying in Manhattan. My only major complaint is that the single queen room I had was tiny and the desk chair my only recourse for sitting in the room if I didn't want to be in the...

Spent three nights at the HI Soho-Lafayette and had no problems with the hotel at all. It is well positioned near the hustle of Canal Street, which is on a number of subway lines, but the room we stayed in was quiet (12th floor). Good bed, decent bathroom and facilities were fine. Staff was very polite and helpful

Went to NY with a friend for a girls getaway and we searched through many hotels. We really did not want to spend a fortune and did not plan on being in our room much. Room was small as stated in other reviews but enough for me and my friend. We had a standard double room. Room was clean and...

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Soho for one night on August 6, 2010. I thought the hotel was in a great location close to NYU and Chinatown. There are lots of great restaurants in Little Italy and Chinatown within walking distance. I was driving so I decided to use the hotel parking that cost about 55 dollars. The room...

Dirty. I know it's NYC, but for $229/night--such a rip off!!!! It's in Chinatown, not Soho.
Rooms are gross- filthy carpet that needs replacement, dirty walls (I don't even know what that is on the wall) with wallpaper that's peeling. Bedding worn and falling apart, and one bed had little hairs in it. GROSS. Room is small but that's expected...

Firstly, the hotel's description is deceptive - hotel is in Chinatown and not Soho; there is a business center but it is not complimentary. Secondly, the hotel places a 'holding amount' on your credit card, as well as charging the amount of your stay to your credit card. In my case, they held $300 and also charged the amount of...

I stayed for 5 nights from new years' eve with superior room.
1. Room size:
very small. it feels like 20 square meter. yet bathroom is large for this room with bathtub.
Good size for single traveler, Too small for double use.
2. Bed:
Very big and comfortable. same as other Intercontinental brand hotels. But I found a lot of...

Although it was a one-night stay, I was completely satisfied with the room and service at this hotel. Did not eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that. The room itself was spacious by NYC standards (including bathroom) and very clean. Linens were fresh, king size bed, extra pillows, large flat screen and a coffee maker. What more could...
