The Hotel looks better in pictures. It took me 45 min to check in. The rooms in the Hotel need an upgrade everything was old and smells, The bed was big but wasn't good enough. The hotel is in good area but needs changes ASAP.

The location was perfect, near Time Square, Central Park, and the subway station. Lots of stores, restaurants and coffee shops. The room however was terrible, the carpet dirty, the beds were lumpy, the room small. I would not stay here again.

I went on a school trip to NYC recently and unfortunately we had to stay at this hotel because our original hotel canceled our reservation very last minute. The location is amazing, and the staff is very nice and accommodating. We asked for two more towels and got four pretty quickly. Those are literally the only good things i can...

I recently stayed in this hotel. I was travelling by myself and was apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews. But it was actually fine. I arrived before check in time but was still given a room. The person I met at reception said "I have a nice room for you". It was on the 17th floor ( I...

I didn't choose this place - I ended up here as a result of another hotel's mistake. At least my booking was there for me, but it's like staying in the upstairs of a railway station. There are brown carpets, chipped and worn paintwork, a funny musty smell, and just a dim, run down feel to the place. The TV...

I know there is a lot of negative reviews about this hotel and I was dreading to what was going to greet me. I even considered cancelling and booking elsewhere. I'm glad I didn't as it wasn't the horror story that some people are saying. OK, it's not the Ritz and it's a bit dated but my room was cleaned...

In spite of the fantastic location, the Hotel does not care about the darkness of the corridor, the doors of the rooms looks like a refrigerator door!!!! The tapestry looked like were there since theing of the Hotel!!! the computers were so slow. Looks like that are slow in order to keep you longer there ( with this, they...

This hotel is in great location in the middle of NYC. Hotel is old and you can not compare it to brand new hotel. But if you want to sleep in classic clean old New York building with great atmosfere try this one!

If you want to safe money in order to be in a great location, this hotel is perfect for you. But I can say I wouldn't return to this hotel anymore. When we got there and looked around the lobby (which is nice), we thought "maybe the reviewers on Tripadvisor were too demanding. However... The Penn Station was very convenient...
