I booked this hotel after a fair amount of research during a busy week in NY. My colleague and I were each upgraded to a suite. I had three closets. Such luxury for an 18 hour stay. You really can have too much space. I was careful not to unpack beyond a careful range or I surely would have left...

Awful reception though we were upgraded to a suite--at the sister hotel. No apology from desk clerk that we had to go back out in the pouring rain to check in. No lobby to speak of. Blaring loud music from bar off check-in area. The suite had a large living room, decor was recent and red velveteen slipcovers had been...

The term "boutique" hotel can sometimes be used as an excuse to be old and tired. Not so for the St. Giles! I'm no hotel diva but too many places in NYC are glorified cracker boxes that invest in the lobby to suck you in then escort you to the tombs. The service is amazing. They refer to you by...

Everything about this hotel was great. Room service was very expensive but then there was a great diner round the corner from the hotel so no big deal. Conscierge service was great. Would highly recommend this hotel and I would be happy to go back there.

I really am amused by these various five star analyses of mediocre places to stay in NYC. Once again, I see raving reviews of a hotel that honestly is no more than a solid three star hotel. It has a lot of room but so what! The carpet is beat, in the room and the hallway, lights are low cause...

Wanted to thank the entire staff for a great stay. The room was very comfortable .. the staff very hospitable. I appologize for not remembering names of everone but a young and helpful fellow at the door (Tony?) .. . and a very helpful and sweet young lady at reception (English/Australian accent?) absolutely fantastic. Mid-town location was perfect .. a...

This was a neat hotel right down the road from Grand Central. I felt like we had our own retro apartment in New York. The decor was very modern. Everything was also very clean. This was a time when I guess bed bugs was running rampant in New York and we had no issues at this hotel fyi. They also...

Found myself here on a 'secret offer' deal and the price was right. Nice Murray Hill hotel, 3 blocks from Grand Central station. Easy & friendly check-in. Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms need to be updated. Carpet in my room was sticky. Internet could not be made to work for hours and is expensive. The bar downstairs is unbelievably loud and...
