After reading many bad reviews of the Milford Plaza, I was skeptical to stay there. Upon arrival, I was so relieved. The location was perfect, one block from Times Square, a walk across the street to a subway stop, it felt really safe. The elevators were fast, and the staff was very helpful. The room was small, but completely clean...

The loud, blasting club music in the lobby upon arrival ("for ambience") was the first sign that we had made a bad choice. When we got to our floor, "The Shining" came to mind -- old, filthy uneven carpet, doors with stripped wood, dirty walls. Thankfully, the horrible odor we expected in our room, based on the hallway, was absent...

I was horrified at the condition of The Milford Plaza. Upon arriving they informed us their would be no water usage in our room from 10:00am-4:00pm. Uponing the door to our room the smell was overwhemling of mold and chemicals. The TV was small, the carpet was very old, and furniture was falling apart. The walls were dirty and...

The Milford was just purchased by our hotel company in November 2010 and re-d un-renovated after having been closed for eleven months by the previous ownership entity. We realize that the hotel needs work and have begun a $140 million renovation and modernization which we expect to be completed sometime in mid – 2012, with newly renovated rooms available as... more

Stayed here for 4 nights with my aunt, we had interconnecting rooms. The rooms are very basic, no frills, but the hotel is in a great location. I stayed here 8 years ago and the place hasn't been touched since, some of it looked as though it hadn't even been dusted since 2003!! If you want central location and are...

Please accept our sincere apologies for the lack of cleanliness of your rooms. Until our $140 million renovation is completed, we are aware that the condition of our rooms may not be what we aspire to but we can always provide a clean and friendly atmosphere to our guests. There is no excuse for a dirty room and we will... more

I recently stayed at Milford Plaza with three friends. We were very pleased at our choice of hotels. All of the staff, from the doorman to the conceirge, were extremely helpful. Our room was exact to our expectation and satisfaction. We were thrilled about the convenient location of the hotel to so many places we wanted to see. It was...

I've stayed here a couple of times before, so I knew not to expect the Ritz. However, in my room I found: - no clock radio - no ironing board - no bedspread, only one thin blanket covered by a sheet - no washcloths - a moldy smell - a tiny red lace thong, on the floor at the foot...

Tiny room, furnished with one hardbacked chair one lamp one bedside table and a useless dresser w/ 2 drawers. No hotel info, brochures, coffee pot. Ice bucket but no ice machine anywhere. Bloodstains on the ceiling.Well, could have been rust, coffee or snot. No faceplate to electrical outlet. One tiny glass shelf in bathroom designed so stuff falls through it...

Damp bathrooms, chipped tiles and mould. Dirty curtains , clean bedding. Really needs an upgrade. There is not even a cafe of anywhere to get food. For the price of a reasonable hotel, this place wayyyy overcharges. Suggest checking out any of the plethora of hotels nearby- not this one though.

I had read the reviews before I went( from horrible to pretty good) so I had mixed expectations, but went anyways because it was a great price. The front desk was great- very helpful and very friendly. I say this because I had an issue with my credit card but they handled it very well. I had a corner room...
