We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We chose the hotel based on a decent price for NYC hotels and we were interested in a different location than midtown. Overall, our experience was very good...the room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Others commented about the size of the room, but we had 2 double beds for 2-3...

Location was fine, rooms were very small even for NY, and suffered from awkward uses of space. Hardly any space to get ready, lack of counter space in bathroom. This could have been overlooked, however, there were bigger problems. My issue was 1) the bathroom smelled like a sewer all the time 2) the room was not cleaned regularly; only...

Beautiful hotel, lovely breakfast, would recommend it to anyone and would defo stay there again....... Easy access to underground going, mid town or up town. Lovely area, walk around, down by sea front. Lovely restaurants especially across the road from hotel an Italian, very funny night in there, look for Antonio Fantastico.....

The Doubletree is a nice enough hotel - just everything in it is smaller compared to most of the other NYC hotels I have stayed at. Small rooms, hallways and elevators (a total of 3 of which service 46 floors). I go to NYC on weekends about six times a year on average, and often stay downtown at the Millenium...

Stayed there for five days. Brand new Hilton hotel and good location. Really nice to stay in brand new surroundings, rooms etc. Right next to subway, financial district, battery park and shopping. Nice to have the opportunity to get away from All the fuzz at midtown. Good service from staff in All matters. However problems with the tv several times....

Top marks for location in lower Manhattan - ideal for financial district, subway stations and ferries to Statue of Liberty Staten Island etc. And it's clean. But the building is obviously not built to be a hotel and is not ideal. Breakfast room is tiny (there was a huge queue one morning when a big group arrived), reception is not...

Stayed for a week in April 2011. hotel is very clean and in good condition. We were given a non-smoking when asked, even though we had booked smoking. Asked for high floor too, which was not a problem. Good service! Room was very new and in great condition. Bed was very comfy, as written in here earlier too. Room didn't...

Overall we were very pleased with this hotel. We Chose to stay in the financial district as opposed to other parts of the city because it was Easter weekend and prices were through the roof. We paid $199.00 a night for a room with two doubles. Pros: This hotel is very clean, well maintained and the staff is very friendly...

I am a business traveler and rarely write reviews or complain. I usually stay at Starwood or Marriott properties but decided to give Doubletree a try. To sum it up, do not stay at this hotel unless the only thing you care is the location. If you have other comparable options, go with one of them. My main complaint is...

My girlfriend and I were first timers in New York and were anxious to find a decent place to stay during our week-long visit in April 2011. We stumbled across the Doubletree on the internet and it appeared to have very competitive prices within our budget. It also had a few good reviews, but not many as it is still...
