From the moment we walked into the Chatwal we were impressed with the staff and the beautiful decor of the lobby. Everyone was friendly, courteous and extremely welcoming. We were shown to our room by one of the bellhops who was exceedingly polite and gave us a tour of our room. Upon our arrival we were assigned a personal butler,...

This hotel is so great in every respect- there is no nicer room in nyc. the lobby and lamb's club is beautiful, you feel like you are on a set of madmen. The service is as good as it gets and because the hotel is small they actually know who you are. Nick and Pierre took care of every single...

Stayed here for a family weekend in NYC. Have been to NYC many times for business/pleasure and don't really like Times Square, but this hotel was worth it. Service was impeccable and rooms were very comfortable. The bathrooms had whirlpool tubs and rain shower heads and very nice amenities. Only complaint was that the water didn't get quite as hot...

This hotel is tucked away on a quieter street just one block from Times Square. I would call it a boutique hotel. There were so many positives and just one little negative.
First, all the positives. Excellent helpful staff. This includes the doormen, reception, concierge, butler, servers, even housekeeping. The room was spacious enough and very comfortable and sheets. The...

I have just spent 4 excellent nights at the Chatwal and i am delighted to recommend it.
The hotel is in a central location within walking distance of Broadway theatres, shopping and other attractions. It is beautifully appointed:stylish, tasteful and modern. The service by the staff was outstanding, very helpful ,courteous and approachable. In particular, Nick the concierge assisted with...

I stayed here for business for a week in the dead of winter in January and I am thoroughly impressed at their level of service and room amenities. I travel extensively for work and get tired of the big chains that treat me nothing more than like a number. Each staff member I came upon was more helpful than the...

I stayed at The Chatwal just one week after it joined the Starwood program. I had not heard of it, and to be candid, I probably would not have stayed there except for the new affiliation. It was really excellent, in so many ways. Above all was a genuine and consistent level of service among all of the staff I...

This is an amazing hotel. I am definitely staying there again. The location is literally a few steps away from Times Square and Broadway.
This is the perfect place who needs a very comfortable room to crash in between shopping trips, shows and restaurants.
My favorite part of the room was the bathroom! It had a heated Japanese toilet, a...

The Chatwal was the site of a girlfriends' getaway in early March, and it was an excellent choice. We wanted to be close to the theater district in order to be able to walk to the Broadway show we were seeing, and the Chatwal was perfect. It's a block or two away from the bustle of the area, so it's...

I'm amazed by (and dubious about) these gushing 5-star reviews! The Chatwal is, by a healthy margin, the most annoying, badly designed, shockingly over-hyped hotel I've ever (briefly) patronised in NYC. Booked for 5 days, left after 2...
