Was so happy to visit the big apple !
They gave me a room near the elevator on the 3rd floor ! (not my choice)
Loved the room but problem with window between room and bathroom (no intimicy)
On saturday night, they decided to play very loud music right beneath us, in the bar, until 4 AM ! We were...

I stayed here to visit family, one of whom lived close by, which is why I chose it.
Hotel itself is fine for what it is, a bit quirky and unsure of its identity, but fine for a two night stay. Problem was the bed, a narrow, lumpy, non-flexible or springy mattress on a platform, triggered already strained joints and...

It seems that experience depends on the price you pay, as you pay more you expect more, but in NY more could mean a thousand dollars per nigth. If you have stayed in a hostel en NY you know the diference, all the other average hotels are similar to Gild. Gild is clean, friendly, close to tourist places, metro station,...

Gild Hall is a nice change from bland hotels with a nice interior lounge bar area, small cafe on the side giving a dark, winter feel. The rooms are good in lounge with comfy bed, but not sure it offers value for money.

A terrible experience all around. I arrived with my son and was given a room with one bed, when we requested a room with 2 beds, they said that we must have asked for one bed and any change would be considered an upgrade and cost more. oh, and if we'd booked through them directly instead of priceline, we would...

The hotel is BORING. I have stayed at other Thompson Hotels that have great energy and cool rooms, Gild Hall has neither. The room was large, but very basic and boring in decor. The lobby was the same. I usually like to eat at the hotel's restaurant and have cocktails in the lounge, however I was there five days and...

The Gild Hall has rooms of reasonable size, particularly in New York. This was my second stay at the Gild Hall. Although the rooms are reasonably sized by New York standards, they can be quite dark, particularly on low floors. I find the service here to be quite variable in quality. For example, I found it difficult to get through...

This was a good hotel but the rooms felt old and a bit claustrophobic. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the service was excellent. We got this hotel on priceline and paid 170. We would not have been happy if we paid the full price.

The Hotel is clean and not bad for the cost. However, there is no room service in the mornings on the weekends. So if you want a cup of coffee (no coffee makers in the room) you will have to get up and go downstairs for it and pay 10.00 for one cup?!?. I also did not like that our...

Stayed there for four nights on a recent business trip. I am in NYC at least twice a month and have a great basis of comparison. The Gild Hall was one of the very best and I look forward to staying here again.
Check-in was very efficient. Did not catch the name of the young lady on duty (blonde) but...
