It was clean and the personnel were accommodating and it was only a stone's throw away from where my daughter (whom we were visiting) lives in NYC. On the downside, the room was layed out poorly with the only comfortable chair UNDER the TV rather than across from it. The air conditioner was obnoxiously loud and made it hard to...

We appreciate the comments - and will let a secret out of the bag. A major project is now in process - we are installing central heating/air conditioning in all rooms, which will be thermostatically controlled by each guest, thereby eliminating window air conditioners. It was this particular room's layout that dictated the chair placement - all layouts are different... more

We had reservations at the Wyman house, but she cancelled on us, so one month before our trip we searched for another one bedroom suite on the UWS. We had walked by the Milburn on previous trips, knew the location was ideal, so booked a suite. The experience was positive from the first phone call. The representative was very helpful...

Overall this is a good hotel but the front desk people need some serious advice on customer service. We arrived early in the day and asked if the front desk representatives if there was any way we could hang up my husband's suit so it would be ready for a formal event that evening. I mentioned that my husband had...

I and other memebers of my family have stayed in various combinations at the Milburn for 6 times over the last few years. We usually stay for a minimum of a week, often longer; this time, all three of us were there for 13 days.It has become our New York address and the people who work there always make us feel...

If you're interested in a well worn dirty place with bugs (I didn't identify them} and a staff that is disinterested in making you feel comfortable....thjis is the place to stay! Oh yes, if you want ice and go to the basement ( a spooky place at best).make sure you bring a saddle. the rats are large enough to ride.

Even the police couldnt convince the gm that assistance dogs are allowed to stay at any hotel; they still broke the disability act law and sent me away on a cold Feb night after first saying yes, charging me, making me bring bags in, and then changing their minds after they called gm of hotel. Shame on them. Lawsuit pending.

The Milburn DOES allow certified Service Dogs, and does not discriminate against the handicapped, providing a number of so equipped rooms. The person posting the review arrived without a reservation and sought to circumvent the hotel's no pet policy by improperly claiming two dogs to be "service dogs", despite having no documentation that they were. We stayed in room 1202, a superior one bedroom spacious suite. We were happy with the room and the service provided by the hotel staff. As a family of 4 it was the perfect location. Lots of great restaurants and close to central park. We stayed at the hotel the day after the big blizzard for 2 nights (as our...

My friend and I came to NY to see a show. The hotel that we booked had water damage from the stom that day so we were refered to the Milburn. We checked in late in the evening so we were kind of stuck. Yes, while the lobby was somewhat lovely the staff was cold and rude. The room was...

I stayed at the Milburn for five nights this past weekend with my mom. The hotel was very nice for what it was, and the location was great! We reserved the room through hotels.com for about $215 a night (during the busy first weekend of December). This was a lot cheaper than the rate the hotel was offering. I asked...

We arrived at the Milburn Hotel on the Wednesday night, exhausted after hitting the rush hour traffic from JFK! The lobby of the hotel is warm and welcoming and the staff are super friendly. We checked in and got directed to our room. The room we booked was a one bedroom suite as there was four of us travelling, the...
