Nice and helpful staff. A wonderful location. Room and bathroom were small but big mirror on the wall made room feel ok. Free internet, real coffee mugs. We were facing 5th street and could hear lots of traffic noise 4 flights up, but not noise from other rooms. Would probably stay here again if price was right.

The room was small and in need of a refurb. it was clean and the shower, coffee machine, tv all worked fine. beds were very comfy. It just seemed to be past its best. I expect in a city this standard of hotel for the price. My wife picked the...

I LOVE the Pickwick and stay there every time I'm in San Francisco. It's in a perfect location - just walk half a block to Market Street for access to BART/Muni/ cable cars on Powell, the fin'l district, shopping, restaurants, etc. The hotel is remarkably reasonable, has lovely and clean rooms that are remarkably spacious and beautifully appointed. The staff...

Our stay was quite comfortable. Great location. Louie Chan, the concierge, was most helpful and personable. Ask him anything about San Francisco and he knows it.

The hotel reminds me of a french hotel its decorated really cute and the beds are super comfortable. The people in the front were extremley nice to us ans you can't beat the location it was next to the mall whichwas a plus. We usually stay at the St Francis but they were booked but this hotel was much more...

The Pickwick is neither a charming old boutique inn, nor a new, clean, modern hotel.
It's awkwardly between the two. It has paper-thin walls, through which you can sometimes hear even a quiet conversation in the room next to yours.
The old windows are cracked, and the rooms have been retrofitted with newer, low-emission windows that perhaps keep the cold...

Stayed here while attending a conference at the Moscone Center. Also had a lot of report writing to do, mornings and evenings. The room was incredibly comfortable - the bed was perfect and so was the La-Z-Boy (although dozing off there almost killed my deadline). Fridge in the room meant I could stock up on snacks needed to work too...

Weary after 16 hours of travel, we struggled with our luggage from the cab into the hotel, watched throughout by a disinterested concierge on the door, who clearly decided that the tip from assisting wasn't worth the effort. We booked in amidst conference delegates, seemingly the Hotel's main source of income, and got to our room - barely space to...

I've stayed at the Pickwick many times because it is economical and has a good location. Upon checking in for a two-night stay, we were told that we may have to move rooms for our second night. Since I made the reservation two months prior, how could they not have planned for our stay? We were told to have our...
