We registered for a "free weekend" at the Williamsburg Plantation resort and were selected. The deal was a free 3 night stay and all we had to do was listen to a 90 minute presentation. The caller implided we would be staying at the Wlliamsburg Plantation and asked how many would be in our party. The reality is the promotion...

Pros: 1. Good location, easy to get to and close to things - but NOT walkable to anything. 2. Clean, comfortable condo, decent furninshings (but see below). 3. Staff pleasant on check int and check out, concierge both pleasant and useful. 4. I liked the indoor pool and hot tub. 5. Master bath was large and well appointed. 6. Condo...

I traded my Marriott time share (1 bedroom, full kitchen, king sized bed, washer/dryer, and a view of the strip at the Marriott Grand Chateau in Las Vegas). I got 1 bedroom, kitchenette, poor quality queen sized bed, shared washer/dryer in the hall of a 4 unit townhouse (not a problem for us), and a small patio in a nice...

We regret that you were displeased with your accommodations due to inconsiderate previous guests who smoked in the unit, and an uncomfortable bed. The one-bedroom units at Williamsburg Plantation Resort are scheduled for upgrading in Spring 2012 at which time they will receive new carpet, lamps, bedding, sofas, chairs, etc. The upcoming changes include a transition from queen beds to... more

So my significant other signs up for a "contest" at some expo, and shortly she gets a call from a rep of Williamsburg Plantation resort. I somehow get dragged into it, pay a deposit for a "presentation" of the resort, even after explicitly telling the rep I don't intend to buy anything. She ensured us it will be fine. I...

We take the time to read and respond to comments from our guests because their feedback is an invaluable tool to assist in correcting areas that are in need. We have had thousands of guests experience our hospitality and it is definitely not our common practice to insult or aggravate them during the sales presentation. The treatment you received is... more

These units are beautiful ! I read some reviews, and it was better than I thought. The units that end in " A " are equiped with everything. The " B " units dont have a stove or stovetop. But they have a washer and dryer in the hallway. The unit is huge, king bed in master, queen bed in...

Let me preface this review with the fact that between my sisters, brothers, parents and myself we own 8 timeshare weeks starting with our first purchase in 1984. We have traveled extensively in the last 27 years and have grounds for comparison. The location is great and the units are very nice and that's where the positive ends. The indoor...

We have many families that choose to vacation with us during Spring Break so that is probably why the pool seemed overly-crowded with younger children during your visit. Through April we provide additional children friendly activities but we also have activities such as wine tasting, socials, colonial dancing, stained glass class, water aerobics and one-stroke painting workshops. To keeps the... more

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We just went for a 3 day stay (not a timeshare deal) and we were not asked to listen to any pitches. We have already recommended to many friends! Like some of the other posts, we, too had another guest above us who was loud but this person did not check in...

Overall, we liked the resort. We're not owners; we traded a time-share week. Convenient to reach, right off a major highway. The area is a unique destination : the "historic triangle" that includes Williamsburg, Jamestown & Yorktown. (My brain hurts from all the history that I observed in a week.) The grounds were well-kept. Plenty of amenities & activities at...

This is was the WORST experience that I have had with ANY company, let alone, a “resort”. I am the type of person that can usually make the best out of any situation, but this one was appalling. I was called by Williamsburg Plantations around 9:00 on a Sunday night by a lady named Tammy Martin for a promotion to...

Accommodations are more than adequate and well kept but getting long of tooth. Lighting in the units are by low watt bulbs and dim. Linens and towels, too, are getting old. All of this is generally acceptable, however the pools are in poor condition. The staff is pleasant but don't ask for maid service.

Thank you for taking the time to post about the Williamsburg Plantation Resort located in beautiful, historic Williamsburg, Virginia. We are in the process of updating the facilities. Just recently, we have updated the flooring and have new furnishings in our spacious clubhouse. The fitness room has undergone a facelift, as well, with new cardio equipment. Thank you again, and... more
