The resort is quite 'rustic' and you have to beto the idea of staying in a cabin with a few bugs and a campfire smell. We liked that part - minus the bugs. Our main put-off by the place was the overall sense of being 'OVER IT' displayed by the staff. I found myself holding doors for luggage...

We spend Easter weekend with our extended family at White Point for East this April. This is our 4 year and has become a much anticipated family tradition. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed walking on the beach and the kids played in the sand. The winter surf has taken out some of the sand so the beach is...

I stayed at the White Point for three nights due to a sales convention. Check in was very smooth and my room in one of the lodges was very comfortable. Our meeting room in the main room had a million dollar view ( one entire wall was glass and the beach was only 50 feet away. The only complaint with...

Just spent 3rd visit to White Point Beach Resort, the first however with children in tow. I thoroughly enjoyed the week-end(Friday-Sunday stay), even with a few blips! The first being a maitenance issue with the pool on arrival, it was closed until Saturday morning. My boys quickly got past the disappointment with the many other activities taking place, games room, movie,...

Indeed the weekend you reference was a the weather did turn-up an amazing ocean surf and regrettably we did encounter an issue with our saltwater pool which we addressed as quickly as possible - we know how important that pool is to families! You mention our complimentary childrens programs, the bunnies and the fires and Alex - they are always... more

Decided to head down to White Point for a quick getaway, and although it was early February I was surprised to find the hotel bustling and active. Great room, great threadcount, lots of firewood, very clean and comfortable. AMAZING DINNER! There was a group in the dining room so we asked to eat in the lounge, by the fire, the...

The cottage was very cozy especially with the fireplace blazzing. The rooms were clean and very cute. I would love to return in the summer when there would be more to do outside. Will definitely return in a few months.

The cottages are definitely cozy, especially in the winter! So glad you enjoyed your visit in the winter and shared it here on Trip Advisor. Coming back in another season, you will definitely note a few changes - the beach begins to grow a white sandy stretch along the shoreline, the lake and boathouseup and boast paddleboats/canoes and... more

We hosted our wedding at White Point in July 2010. The facilities are fantastic, the food amazing and the staff is the best! Our guests all raved about it. There was wind, rain and fog on our wedding day and we wouldn't have had it any other way. White Point made our day the best day ever. And now we...

I have just returned from an executive planning retreat at White Point Beach. It was a great location to have a team meeting and do some creative problem solving. We stayed in a building next to the main lodge where we had 8 private rooms and a large comfortable shared common room. The seating area had a beautiful stone fireplace...

We have travelled around and stayed at motels, hotels, and resorts all over Nova Scotia but none has the friendliness and number of things to do as Whitepoint. We have been coming here for several years, first as visitors then as vacation club owners which by the way has fantastic benefits! I will agree that the old part does need...

My wife and I spent our first Valentines day together at White Point. Ever since then we have visited at least once a year(accept when our daughter came along). We always stay in a cottage because we love the fireplace(although the firewood is often wet) and the sound of the waves. The cottages are just a normal 1 bedroom, bath...
