The hotel staff was virtually nonexistent. The rooms were cheaply decorated and not that clean. Loud music from the night club played into the wee hours. If you are in New York to see the sights and enjoy your stay avoid this dump. When we decided to terminated our 8 day stay due to the noise level we were charged...

I booked the Ravel for the night before my daughter's wedding because she had a large
wedding party-10 girls-and we needed a place to relax and get ready the next morning. My husband and I had met Sandra a few months before to look at the rooms before we booked and she was very, very helpful and accommodating! The girls...

First off, we traveled for a family wedding. The entire wedding party and all out of town guests reserved the rooms months prior. The rehearsal dinner here as well, overall this party spent a lot of money here. When we checked in the front desk ATTEMPTED to check us into the dreaded room right by the elevators on the first...

My friend and I stayed at the Ravel for 3 nights. First night in room 105. Mildew in the bathroom, air conditionning sounded like a 737 jumbo jet, problem with the cable tv. The room is located in front of the elevator door, so you can hear everyone getting on and off the elevator. The door also does ding each...

The hotel itself is nice. I am sure in the beginning it was really the spot to be, but in time and with wear and tear all things get worn. The location is nice for a view, and yes, you should perhaps get the free ride to the subway or go get a taxi because the cost of transportation if...

My friend and I stayed at the Ravel Hotel June 2010 for 6 days for our very first visit to New York. We didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on accomadation as we were there for sightseeing and shopping and staying in manhatten was far too expensive.
We stayed in the King superior balcony room which was...

I can quite honestly say that there is one staff member at this hotel that was friendly, helpful and professional. I booked this hotel in advance of a guest flying in from Dublin; I live in NYC, however, chose to stay at the Ravel for convenience to Manhattan and family and friends in Queens. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE. The Ravel's...

We recently stayed at the Ravel Hotel for a wedding. Our entire family was there we were all spread through out the hotel but my husband and I and my brother and sister in law and their month old baby were on the 5th floor. FYI everyone there is a club directly above the 5th floor, and although the front...

I stayed here recently during a short business trip. Manhattan would have been ideal, but the decision wasn't mine. The staff was very professional and helpful. Close to the E train made getting to Manhattan easy. The rooms have an amazing view of the skyline and are very boutique-like (reminded me of South Beach). I highly recommend The Ravel for...
