This hotel is one I stay at at least once a month. While they try to enforce the Michigan No Smoking Law, there are a lot of infractions. Sometimes, however, I've found the cleaning staff to be the culprits. On the good side, this hotel will nick you at least $100.00 if they catch you smoking. And, if I catch...

Michigan law does prohibit smoking in a hotel room, so we do take strong measures to discourage guests from smoking in their room. We have never found a staff person smoking...

First off, it is hard to find the main entrance and registration desk at this hotel. The restaurant is prominent in front, but then you have to find your way around to the side to find the entrance at the registration desk. I had a room on the first floor on the outside wall. The Rooms were so spacious b'ful and comfortable. Breakfast served was also very good. It was located near the bridge and I will surely recommend all to stay there. Thank you very much for making our stay so pleasant!

Very nice stay beds comfy four pillows a bed. No fridge tho had to sign a waiver no smoking in room. Nice pool area bring own music to treadmill room. Shower was nice and a free paper. Sat in conference room some of the glasses had left over residue inside. Overall nice stay.

Because it's a Holidome, you do have the smell of pool chlorine that lingers wherever you are in the hotel. However, the rooms are clean. Friendly, nice staff. I would stay there again if I was in Alpena.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The holidome is a perfect way to entertain children. It has mini golf, ping-pong, rides, pool, sauna, hot tub, game room, and kids eat free (with an adult).
