Ballarat
Easy walking distance to Southern Cross and environs which is ok in daytime but we wouldn't walk around Little Bourke St after dark. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room had a new feel and was nice and clean. Size and appointments were consistent with hotels in this range.

We were within walking distance to everything in the CBD (Central Business District, for Americans), and while Little Bourke is a smaller street, it allows you to walk straight into Chinatown, where some of the best restaurants in the country reside.
