I was on a business trip and my company paid for the rooms, so before my trip, I made sure to call and confirm that my room cost were handled. I asked the front desk will I need to put a deposit or anything being that my room was already paid, she said no. I checked in and lo and...

Our apologies for the miscommunication with deposits, this is a standard procedure with the hotel industry to have either a credit card or cash for possible incidental charges (movies, telephone calls, games, room service, etc…) even when the room / tax is being covered by the organization. Our goal is to ensure every guest receives the best service from all...

I would stay here again because...
1. Location. It's on the CA-NV border, which means you are really close to the casinos. It's about a 20 second walk to Harrah's. So if you're looking to go out and gamble and drink as opposed to stay in a comfy cabin, this is a great place for that.
2. Breakfast/drinks. This place...

Great hotel for price. The location was great (right in the village). We had a big room but the best part was the included cooked breakfast and daily cocktails in the afternoon. This added to our stay and topped off a great honeymoon skiing. You couldnt ask for anything else from a hotel at this level.

My kids and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in April. The room service from the beginning was less than desired. The second day, I noticed that one of the beds had not been changed, the coffee maker wasn't heating, there was no little soaps left (which if you're paying $230 a night.....I would like the little things)....

Not that wonderful. A poor experience right from check-in: couldn't find the self-parking lot. Turns out the hotel doesn't have one: it only provides valet service (a nice little earner for them, and I always avoid valet when given the chance as it's ironically inconvenient).
The other things were death by a thousand cuts:
* The walls were thin, so...

The positive first, location was awesome could walk to the gondala. The breakfast & happy hour were also very nice. The bartenders were great.
Now the negative: Rooms not very clean. We received no housekeeping services throughout our whole stay until finally on our last night we called to get some clean towels. We were sitting in the back room...

Ok, overall, this is a decent hotel. The location is good (about a 400 yard walk to the Heavenly Gondola), the price is right (how many slope side ski resort hotels do you know of that are $129/night?) and the complimentary breakfast and happy hour are nice touches.
HOW-EVER, that's about it. While this hotel's location is great and for...

There is a good reason why our family has been to this particular hotel three times. Several, actually.
1) Location, location, location--Pick your poison. The hotel is right on the CA/NV stateline, so the casinos are literally across the street. Restaurants? Walk a block south, or less. We have never been in the winter, but the ski resort is right...

We stayed here during President's week, which is probably the busiest week of the ski season, and we had a wonderful time! The rooms are clean and spacious with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofabed in the living room there was plenty of room for us and our 3 children, ages 12, 16 and 21. Breakfast was included,...
