I loved the hotel it has many free activities like kayak, sailing, bike ridding, and others. It is in front of Isla de Ixtapa that you can go to it paying 40 pesos and it has great beach, coral reefs and nice restaurants. The only problem here is that the beach in front of the hotel is the worst in...

We picked this resort based on other reviews, and have found it to be a spectacular place!
The staff at the resort were always friendly, helpful. But, if you are looking for an American resort in Mexico... THIS IS NOT IT... it was full of non- Americans, which we LOVED. Therefore, expect Spanish and not English. However, the majority of...

The hotel is beautiful. The staff was friendly. The all-inclusive meals were too expensive for what was being served. The location was great if you planned to stay at the hotel all the time. It was right on a beautiful secluded beach. If you plan to sightsee in Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo, you might want to pick a closer hotel. We...

We recently returned from Ixtapa and stayed at the Melia Azul. There were 6 of us (3 couples, late 20's/early 30's). We knew going into our trip that this hotel was family friendly. Even though we didn't have any kids with us I barely noticed the children.
I really enjoyed the location and that it was within walking distance to...

We returned from a 10 day stay on March 23, 2011.
To begin, I initially booked our stay directly through the hotel which promises a "best price guarantee" for reservations. As soon as I booked I checked a few other websites for their prices. Each and every one of them was cheaper than the hotel direct. When I forwarded the...

Our family just arrived back from a 1 week vacation at this resort.
This is the first resort in Mexico ( we have been to Mexico 7 times), that they have life guards at the pool and on the beach.
The resort is FANTASTIC for children of all ages.
The food has 3 different buffet's and 3 a'la'cartes.

We just returned from a one week vacation in Ixtapa (March 9-16). We flew Air Transat out of Toronto which was fine. The trip home is incredibly long since you have to stop over in Manzanillo—we left the hotel at 9:50am and didn’t get back into Toronto until 10:50pm (2 hour time change). That said, we (one adult and two...

We just got back from this resort after spending 7 days there. I just want to let ppl know that there's not a whole lot to do for families with kids 7 and over. My children are 11 and 9...and by the end of the 7 days they were TOTALLY bored and driving me bonkers!
The food was good. Definetly...
