Staying in BEST WESTERN Shinjuku ASTINA Hotel was fantastic. Staff was so accommodating and friendly and both my wife and I had a wonderful time. We would definitely go back there again.

Dear AnnieWoAdelaide I want to thank you for staying with us. Kabukicho is an entertainment in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Kabukicho is the location of many bars, shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, and is often called the "Sleepless Town" . The district's name comes from late-1940s plans to build a kabuki theater although the theater was never built, the name stuck. The area... more

Hotel was at an excellent location for our purposes. Close to dinning and entertainment areas. Very convenient to the subway station that we used for both local transportation as well as for getting to the Tokyo terminal for the high speed (Bullet) trains. As commented in other reviews, it can be a bit of a challenge to find the hotel...

We stayed here for 3 weeks altogether. The location is perfect. We did not go out at night, but took a walk a few times around the area in late hours, and found that Shinjuku is really a phenomenon, and honestly, I would not like to walk there alone so late. The hotel was clean, staff were very polite and...

After a big natural disaster, I visited Tokyo. Hotel and staff was calm and friendly. Moreover, after the disaster, some train and flight information were adequately updated. Shinjuku-Tokyo is safe, hotel has neither the power failure nor the suspension of the water supply in the electricity shortage. The foreigner was very few probably because of this influence. The hotel does...

Stayed here in February. Hotel is great value for money, especially if you're on a budget. Stayed in an upgraded room - nice bed and shower, but be prepared - the room is really small. With two big pieces of luggage, we could hardly walk anywhere. However, it is great value for money, and the staff are helpful and friendly....

I've been staying at the Best Western since it firstd. I generally stay once or twice a year. I would not normally review a hotel twice on Trip Advisor, but in this case it's time for an update. When the Best Westernd, it was very impressive. Good staff, snappy service, lovely rooms and so on. It seemed that...

This is an average business type hotel. Very clean and with polite helpful staff but: -location is not as convenient as stated: it is 15mn walk from shinjuku station/subway -it is in the middle of the red light district (no worries it is as safe as the rest of tokyo but clearly not supercharming...you are always sollicited and the bars...

I've stayed twice in Tokyo before and the hotels have been either too expensive or pretty crap and old. Best Western Shinjuku is relatively new, so it's nice and clean. The rooms are pretty small, but that's pretty standard for Tokyo. We got the standard single and managed to fit fine. The bathrooms are super clean and much roomier than...
