The views from the decks are great. There are 3 decks: the lower outdoor decks have safety glass (you can still get a point-and-shoot camera or a lens through the gaps in the glass), and the top level is We went up on a clear day and the visibility was great. The Chrysler Building is obscured by another building,...

We went to the Top of the Rock on the first afternoon of our arrival and were extremely happy that we chose this as a site seeing adventure. Even though there are plexiglass panels surrounding the lookout deck, there are gaps in between in which you can hold your camera for unobstructed views. The lobby, chandelier, and inside architecture are...

No wait at all and the same view as the Empire State Building, but much safer feeling! LOVED IT! I recommend doing both (Empire State Building & Top of the Rock) one at night and one during the day.

Excellent views although I guess people know that. Everyone knows the Manhatten skyline and is a great chance to see it for yourself. Essentially you have the choice between Top of the Rock and Empire State. We went up at night and saw NYC up in lights which was great although made for tricky photographs. You either got a blurred...

If you are in NYC go check this out. A fantastic 3 level view of the city. Rockefeller Center is just a cool building in general so to be able to go to the roof is a real treat. The cost is 22 bucks for adults and you can stay up there as long as you like. We went a...

One of the first things you have to do, is go up TOTR or the ESB, and look at the views of the city below. Different views from both. TOTR having 3 levels & plenty of outdoor space was great with good views all over the city & of course, the ESB. Go up early before the crowds gather An...

We went to the Top of the Rock to watch the sunset. You get amazing views of the Empire State Building as well as Central Park and the rest of New York. I think the views are better than the Empire State Building but would recommend doing both.

We went to both TOTR and the ESB on our trip to NYC last month. There was a slight wait to go up in TOTR, but they give you a time to be at the elevator, and you can wander around in the plaza and gift shops until then (our wait was about 30 minutes). Once you arrive at the...
