We have been to New York several times and this trip was for our youngest daugther's spring break. She is a senior in high school and had one of her best friends with her for five days. We signed up for this tour based upon the reviews and to do something different. The 18-yr-old girls LOVED it and so did...

Susan takes you on a tour of the Lower East Side during the NY Nosh Tour, armed with a map of the history of the area and a keen sense for some WONDERFUL FOOD! Not only did we sample some great foods, we learned about the history of each food place and what the neighborhood was like back in the...

Susan was a ray of sunshine on the gloomy, drizzly Sunday morning my husband and I met up with her at Yonah Schimmel's knish store for the NY Nosh Tour. Her wonderful stories about the Lower East Side -- past and present -- held our interest, and she introduced us to exciting and comforting flavors like fresh-baked knishes, salmon pastrami,...

We loved this tour. Our guide, Susan, was indeed very enthusiastic about the food and for good reason. We "noshed" around the markets, delis, restaurants and food stalls around the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and Little Italy. all the while learning about the amazing history and development of these neighborhoods through the years. The melting pot was melting in our...

Susan's food and walking tours are a real find. We love discovering new parts of New York, and Susan made the NY Nosh tour fun, informative, and entertaining for a family of seven, ranging in age from 10 to 50. This tour had lots of interesting food-enough that we did not eat lunch after-and it was unusual, enjoyable, and most...

I was very lucky to happen upon Susan's tour, not only was the cost much more reasonalbe than other more heavily advertised tours, but I liked that she limits to small groups so you really have a chance to ask questions. We laughed, I learned, and of course I ate, as we traversed the neighborhoods of the Lower East Side...

We did the "Melting Pot Tour" in June 2009 together with 4 other people. As we were a little earlier at the meeting point, the Essex Street Market, we went throuht the market booths on our own and did not find anything special about this place. The impression changed completely when Susan Rosenbaum, our guide, explained us the special stories...

Susan Rosenbaum offers 3 different tours: "Chinatown Discovered"; "NY Nosh"; and "Melting Pot". We did the Melting Pot tour and it was well worth every penny spent! It starts out in the Lower East Side, then on to Chinatown followed by Little Italy. Susan is very knowledgeable--- we learned much about each neighborhood visited. At many shops, you get to...

This tour is a definite must for anyone interested in the New York beyond the glitz of Times Square. Susan, the owner and the enthusiastic gourmet, met us in a century old knish shop and filled our three hour tour with amusing stories, great gourmet samples and most importantly, history of the area. Susan was wonderful and warm, easy and...
